I think as mom's we have such HUGE resposibilities, I mean laundry, helping
with homework, making sure kids take showers, having food ready ,all 3 meals, and making sure they BRUSH and FLOSS! Well that is my issue, TEETH!
Cameron and Bailey are really good about brushing and flossing
and I don't have to remind them,
I also make sure they get into the dentist every 6 months, yes they both have spacers
and at one time or another they have had cavities or a tooth pulled but I have been pretty good,
well when BRANDON woke up at 9pm the other night (YES my kids go to bed early!) screaming his head off saying his tooth hurt I thought maybe he is getting a molar,does a 4 1/2 year old get molars?, well when he cried til 1am I thought this is not a tooth coming in because he never wakes up and cries and this time he did not stop for almost 4 hours!!
I got him in to the dentist yesterday and the RESULTS:
LOTS OF WORK!!!!!
He has a tooth that had a cavity so bad that now it is infected in the root and has to be pulled and a spacer put in, oh that's not it, he also has to have a root canal on another tooth and he has 5 cavities. The dentist has to put him under with sedation at a surgery center to do it all, which doesn't bother me because Bailey had that done when she was little to fill a few cavities.
Let me tell you I felt like the most HORRIBLE, NEGLECTFUL MOTHER in the world!
They were able to get him scheduled for Monday. After some great "Pink Medicine", 3 times a day for the last 2 days he is feeling better and not complaining about the pain any more.
So, I scheduled check ups for my other 2 for next week even though it has not been 6 months yet. After Monday let's see how much metal is in his mouth!

Don't take it personal! I have the most horrible teeth, always have. My sister and oldest bro never got cavities, and Jedd and I have a mouthfull of false teeth already. I don't even have any of my real molars anymore. I have had 5 root canals. It just seems like my teeth go rotten. Being pregnant was the worst, afterwards I had 6 cavities and a root canal. Oh joy. But seriously, sometimes kids just have bad teeth, that's why dentists are so rich! :)
Your so funny!! Presley had three root canals if it makes you feel any better and like 4 cavities and yes that was when she was 4!! So if your a horrible mother I'm even worse!!
